I love San Francisco

This is unfinished but is inspired by and celebrates the Giants win for the third time in five years. The City by the Bay was my home for five years and captured my heart…the parade today must be unbelievable and the air electric! Happy Halloweeeeeen San Francisco!!!!

  1. I love your use of movement in such a random yet methodical way. My eyes don’t know what to focus on first but if I start with the right it flows to the left and down. Placement is important to me. Your use of color and texture is spot on as well. You teeter on the edge of surrealism and abstract in a beautiful way.

    • that’s awesome, thank you for your constructive comment…it’s funny, because when I paint or draw, there is no rhyme or reason to my approach. I just start in the middle and work my way outwards. often there are two distinct hemispheres (left vs right brain? bipolar?) but this piece became the beautiful jumbled mess of city buildings that is SF. thanks!

  2. I love your sense of movement, it all seems chaotic at first glance but when you start with the right side of the painting you find the city swims. The texture and use of color is very smart as well . I suffer from ADD and you have pleased that side of my psyche with your use of many aesthetics pleasing to the eye. Beautiful work.
