I love the gleaming smoothness of this mixed media piece on wood and in order to achieve the ‘burnt sugar’ effect, I aerosol a quick burst of metallic on the still wet red paint. Throw on a touch of stardust and then set it all in place with lacquer. I have a couple of blocks, painted on all six sides that look great suspended like art chimes.
